I used this recipe for my first roast and have used it religiously since. My only communication would be to watch your cooking time. My roasts have always been done betwixt v-vi hours (on low) and they come out very tender. Overall, a very like shooting fish in a barrel and tasteful recipe.

I don't know what some of these people are talking nearly - this was a keen roast! You may desire to add some more spices, but that's not rocket science. I added a litte bit of garlic, a sprinkle of garlic salt, basis pepper and extra onion flakes. My boyfriend and I loved information technology - it was a nice brown color, and the aroma filled the house when I came home. I volition exist using this recipe over and over.

This is good made as directed, but I felt it needed a little more flavor / complexity. I use a larger roast (5 lbs) rubbed with salt, pepper, garlic, dredged in flour (to thicken the gravy afterwards) and seared in olive oil. For the liquid... beef broth, and I add a few big splashes of cherry-red wine (almost one-half a loving cup). Also put in onion, fresh minced garlic, a couple of rosemary sprigs and a tsp of coriander seeds. Cooked carrots with the roast, but potatoes separately (roasted potatoes, as I don't like everything to gustatory modality the aforementioned or to exist too mushy.) YUMMO!

This has to be the easiest fashion to make pot roast. I will brown my meat earlier placing in the crock pot and the deglaze the pan with the beefiness broth. Later on I take all the meat and vegetables out I volition thicken the gravy with a petty corn starch and h2o. It is as as good as a roast cooked in the oven.

Wow harsh review, I think there may take been something wrong with your cooker or something because I deceit imagine the veggies being raw afterward hours and hours of slow cooking, but promise you observe the recipe your looking for! As far equally my experience with the recipe, I tweaked it a little for my ain taste. I used broth instead of buillion and water, and I used a lot of information technology because I love the soupy gravy. I added the potatoes in half fashion through cooking so they wouldnt be mush, they were perfect! Added probably more veggies than recommended and some extra seasoning (garlic, tonys). But overall I merely loved it! cheers for the recipe!

This was my beginning pot roast ever and I was pretty apprehensive... but information technology turned out bully! I prepared it according to the directions with the following modifications: I sliced iii carrots instead of using baby carrots, replaced the onion with a packet of dry out onion soup mix, and used three/four loving cup of h2o instead of 1/ii cup. I cooked it on low for a little over viii hours. The meat was so tender and so full of season. Plus, it passed the ultimate test: my hubby loved information technology and even had seconds! Next time I'm going to add a tin of cream of mushroom soup to make a thicker gravy. Neat recipe!

As newlyweds and new to cooking this was THE EASIEST and the best recipe......i recall tonite was the beginning fourth dimension we ate a real meal before 7PM and done past 8!!! Using the Advice from the previous reviews i added the xtra one/4 loving cup of water, bay leaf, and besides browned it earlier putting in the crock......It turned out very nicely and my inlaws thought information technology was succulent!!! I made gravy from the crock pot juices by adding flour, salt, pepper and some onion pulverisation all to sense of taste.........YUM!!!!
10/23/2008
This was an incredible recipe. It pulled apart, the vegetables were non mushy and the gravy was and so practiced. My young man ate the baby carrots (he hates carrots) and fifty-fifty wanted to take information technology to work the adjacent twenty-four hour period! Here is what I did the night before...I cut the potatoes, onions and used baby carrots. I heavily seasoned them with garlic salt, seasoning common salt, pepper and Lipton onion soup mix and put information technology at the bottom of my crock pot. (I have a removable dish.) I seasoned the outside of the roast with garlic salt, seasoning salt and pepper until it was completely covered with seasoning and browned the outside with some butter. I dissolved the 3 beefiness boullion cubes with one cup of boiling water and added it to the pinnacle of the veggies and then I put the roast on superlative of that and covered it with the top. I stuck the whole thing in the frig to marinate over dark. The side by side morning time I but took it out of the frig, plop the dish in and turn on the crock pot for eight hours on low. FANTASTIC..my bestfriend and my fellow were raving well-nigh it! I'grand making it for Thanksgiving in addition to the turkey. :)

From someone (me) who's recipes normally turn out terrible, this was TRULY the easiest, best tasting roast I have e'er made!! I followed the suggestions of others, and flavored it with additional spices to fit our tastes and added some additional water, and it was merely wonderful!!
08/20/2002
If yous're looking for fast and like shooting fish in a barrel this is the recipe for y'all! I recommend adding more spices if you want more flavour, overall proficient recipe.
02/09/2011
This was very easy, and was exactly what I was looking for... I over cooked mine so it was a piddling dry and put likewise much beef bullion in so it was a bit salty, only if I wasn't contending with that it would definitely be 4 stars! Adding to my recipe box now...
01/15/2010
This is a classic Crock Pot - Pot Roast recipe. If y'all read the instructions with a Crock Pot, it always says to put the vegetables on the bottom - they take the longest to cook. I have NEVER browned my roast before cooking. I would venture to estimate that if your roast did not turn out with this recipe - it had more to do with the grade of meat you used than the recipe. One other hint - always use a recipe as a base - so add together the seasonings that you and your family enjoy.
01/02/2011
Suprisingly very skillful. I added 2 c h2o, i/4 c red cooking wine, i T onion powder, 1 T minced garlic, 1/4 tsp garlic pepper, i/2 tsp garlic and herb grill mate. Plus, I used 6 potatoes and about ii c carrots.
12/07/2002
Yummy! I cut my roast in half just in case it wasn't a skilful recipe and I was so deplorable, because I wished I had cooked the whole thing! My son loved it and had seconds. I added more than water than called for and added seasonings that I enjoy. I also (at the end) added some cornstarch to thicken the juice into gravy. Information technology was very delicious.
12/28/2010
I decided to brand a pot roast for Christmas dinner, then I went searching for deadening cooker recipes. About everything I came across called for dry onion soup mix which I did not have. Then I found this recipe and decided to requite it a endeavor. It came out perfect!! I didn't have whatsoever celery and used regular carrots instead of baby, but everything else was the same. I wouldn't change a affair about this recipe. I cooked my roast on high for five hours and information technology came out super tender and the sense of taste was spectacular. I will only be making my roast this way from now on.
10/16/2007
I absolutely LOVED this recipe! I used Beef Eye of Circular Roast and left the celery whole (that style I could remove it before serving since some of my guests don't similar the texture). The smell filled our kitchen and was pleasing to everyone! Information technology will definitely be used once more and once more!!
10/24/2008
a peachy, easy manner to brand pot roast. This is how I make my roasts every time. If you lot tin can, don't put the potatoes in until halfway through the cooking time. If you get out them in the entire time, they'll plow to mush.
xi/10/2007
Gets my highest vote for ease and yum factor. I dearest garlic & added quite a bit. I cooked this for approx 10 hours on low. Put it in the fridge overnight. I think things cooked in the crock-pot gustatory modality better warmed up the adjacent day. It was delish. Thanks!
eleven/30/2006
This is how my mom used to exercise information technology and I practise love this recipe. I have tweaked information technology over the years, I add together a bundle of Lipton Onion soup mix, 2 cups of red wine and 3 cloves of garlic.
02/06/2011
This was by far the best pot roast I've always made, and it was quite easy to do. Much better than anything my mother ever fabricated. I made one change, though, and I HIGHLY recommend it. My wife doesn't like celery, then in lieu of that, I used a big stalk & root of fennel. The results were spectacular. The texture remains somewhat shut to celery, just information technology infuses the whole dish with a light anise season. Great dish, easy to make... don't forget the fennel.
eleven/12/2007
Great recipe!! My husband loved and so did I. I used 2 cubes, one packaged dry onion soup, potatoes, carrots and onions. I put about 1-one/12 cups of h2o. The meat was melting and it felt I was cutting butter. I wasn't even able to get information technology out of the crockpot to cut because it was falling apart. Perfect. Thank you and then much!!
01/xiii/2008
i followed directions down to the t, simply it turned out and then dry i couldnt even eat a trivial examination piece. i dont know where i went wrong
01/05/2011
Nosotros did not like this roast at all. I put in all my ingredients as the recipe says and and then put in the 1/2 loving cup of water. I knew every bit soon as I poured it in that information technology wasn't going to be enough liquid but I let it go anyways, trusting anybody elses reviews. I was so disappointed when I got home and found my roast still sitting on top of the potatoes, not liquid around information technology. I ended up adding 3 cups of water and 3 more bullion cubes, but for some "juice". I will not be making this again. :(
01/23/2008
I love this pot roast! My husband thinks its great also
08/01/2008
I did this last dark, july 31st 2008. It was the easiest and best I've had. I but had surgery three days ago. I needed something that wouldn't have alot of my time.I am still recouping. WOW!!!! It was easy for me to do, it was smell i enjoyed all day long, and the family unit loved it! what better way to still cook(cuz i wanted to) and not be over worked every bit I heal! The merely difference was I too added beef broth and garlic spices instead of the water. Otherwise YUM YUM YUM!!!! Thanks
12/21/2010
Very good. I put in potatoes, carrots and celery and it turned out very well. I did take to cook mine almost 6 hours on loftier. Depends on your crock pot
01/11/2011
First pot roast that I've tasted in years that was this delicious! I took the advice about the wine and the broth rather than bouillon. All loved it:)
07/fifteen/2011
I use beef broth and fresh green beans instead of celery. Even with different cuts of roast, information technology always turns out hearty and satisfying, whether we eat information technology with gravy or in a pot pie. Very easy, nutritious meal. I like to add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to my roast and some worcestshire sauce to the broth/h2o.
11/02/2010
I added 1/ii cup red vino and beefiness broth instead of the water. Also added a bay leaf and browned the roast before I put it in the crock pot. Added peas last hour of cooking considering nosotros love peas! Enjoy.
09/07/2002
Tasteless. Brothy. There must be pot roast better than this.
02/twenty/2007
Was a practiced recipe. Simply I added the iii cloves of garlic, used the Lipton Onion Soup mix instead of the bullion. Likewise added the water & a cup or two of scarlet wine. Added mushrooms, celery, & carrots in the last couple of hours. Cooked 1 hour on high & nigh 5.5 on low.
01/x/2016
This is basically the recipe I've used for years and you can't beat it. For those of you thinking in that location should be more than flavor attempt adding i/2 to 1 package of Lipton Onion Soup mix. I usually use beef broth instead of burgoo cubes. The juices make an excellent gravy. What really bothers me on these roast beef recipes is it is rarely mentioned which cut of beefiness is used. I stick with a chuck roast as I tin can depend on it being fall apart tender and having a rich flavor. I've never had much luck with rump roasts (not certain what they call them today) and don't know how that would work in a recipe similar this even though it'south in dull cooker.
ten/17/2009
I just read all the reviews for this recipe. The people who gave it a low rating must not know how to tweak a recipe. For the potatoes I used small red ones cut in one-half. I don't use bullion cubes, I employ "Herb Ox" Instant bullion pulverization - 1 tsp per cup of water. Earlier I brown the meat I dredge it in flour mixed with rosemary, sea common salt, pepper and granulated garlic - that slowly thickens every bit it cooks to make the gravy. Again the amounts of the spices depends on your taste buds. Lastly, I cook it one hour on loftier and six - 8 hours on low testing the veggies afterwards 6 hours. For an added kicking put a 12 oz canteen of "Killian's Irish Cerise" beer in after 4 hours on low. The beer has plenty of fourth dimension to loose the booze that way but you still accept the flavor of the Killian's. This recipe is a great one it all comes downwardly to personal preference and taste buds.
03/01/2009
This was really expert. I put the veggies on tiptop of the meat because I like the meat to be falling apart tender. I made it both ways (veggies on top and bottom of meat) and I prefer veggies on elevation.
01/20/2011
My pot roast turned out drier than expected. I used the 3/four c. of water that was suggested in the reviews, but it was still dry. I think function of the problem is that I set the meat on height of the veg like it said to do, and that prevented the meat from existence immersed in the liquid. Next time I will ready the meat in the pot and put the veg around it, and I also won't put the potatoes in until a few hours into cooking b/c they were totally obliterated. I added a minor amount of dry onion soup mix equally suggested as well. The taste was cracking, it was just too dry.
03/24/2005
I used this recipe for my first pot-roast ever, and my husband and friends loved it so much I have to cook it at lease one time a week at present!
01/26/2011
Like shooting fish in a barrel and Amazing! I didn't add together the potatoes (made mashed potatoes instead), added 2 bay leaves, a sprinkle of garlic pulverisation, and upped the h2o to 1 cup. Once finished cooking, I used the cooking liquid to make gravy. Adding this to the weekly rotation!
11/ten/2002
This is an easy, standard roast beef recipe. Yous should spice it upwards withal you lot want. One note for me, though, I cook this on low for 12 hours and practice not need to add additional liquid and information technology turns out tender and perfect.
05/27/2010
I did everything as instructed.. I am lamentable just this is not good at all. I gave it 1 star because the meat and vegetables were tender just the boullion taste was overwhelming and at that place is no real substanance to the gravy.. just watery, fatty.
07/13/2008
This was proficient for my showtime roast. It ended upward very tender and pulled autonomously easily. I will add the veggies later adjacent fourth dimension as they ended up being mush and add together some more than spices likewise. This recipe is excellent to effort again and again until you have information technology tweaked to your liking! I am giving this recipe a solid 4 stars for coming out moist and tender but non v stars as the veggies came out way overcooked and it was a little on the bland side spice wise. A corking basic roast recipe!
09/03/2010
This really is the easiest thing I've e'er made and ane of the best. I used depression sodium beef broth instead of bouillon, added some minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce for season and it was wonderful.
ten/27/2006
This was a cracking dinner to come home to tonight, it'southward cold and rainy out. The meat came out very tender and very flavorful. I've been using the McCormick seasoning for pot roasts, and those are pretty good but wanted to try something different and didn't want to worry about preservitives or additives in seasonings. Thanks for the dandy recipe!
03/04/2005
The flavor was good but my roast came out very dry. I retrieve the roast should be browned first, putting it in the crock pot raw made the veggies on the bottom expect gray and nigh unappetizing. So having the beef cubes on peak fabricated dark spots on the roast. It tasted better than it looked. I remember I will keep looking for a crock pot roast recipe.
02/12/2008
Very Skilful! I used less onion, added garlic pulverisation and used one loving cup of h2o instead of 1/2cup. This was my starting time pot roast then I was really nervous...but it turned out great. My husband and I loved it!
xi/xiv/2011
I am non sure what happened, but I followed information technology to the T and it was banal and dry. This is the beginning highly rated recipe from this site that did not alive up to the reviews. I have a new crock pot, so that wasn't the issue. Won't make once again.
12/05/2000
I browned the roast first and added almost 1/4 cup more water in the crockpot. The roast was tender and juicy. It tasted fifty-fifty amend the next day.
06/21/2000
Cook this roast on high for at least half dozen hours, cooking it on low dries the meat out quite a bit. We didn't observe it bland at all. I would have to try the proffer of browning it kickoff for a more asthetic appeal.
01/23/2004
The roast was a little dry out. I put the meat on the lesser and it was better.
04/nineteen/2010
Delicious!
04/04/2008
This recipe turned out great! I made a few minor adjustments to information technology such as; i used beef goop, cream of mushroom soup, and dry out onion soup mix. This was my first time making pot roast always & it worked out well!!
xi/06/2010
I fabricated my get-go pot roast yesterday and decided to add together a heaping TBSP of horseradish mustard AND some dill weed. OMG! It turned out then practiced! I seared the meat, and then put it aside. I then started the broth and vegies on the stove in a dutch oven and as before long as it was simmering, I put the roast in and shoved information technology to the bottom. Cooked in the oven for 2 hours at 350, so ane hour at 250...YUM!!!
11/xi/2001
This pot roast just wasn't that corking. The roast was washed far before than expected and before the vegetables were ready. The laying of bullion cubes on the roast left areas with heavy seasoning and some with piffling. The roast itself was very dry. If I were to employ this recipe again, I would start the vegetables before, and rub a lite coating of beef bullion all over the roast and so add an hour afterward the vegetables were started.
01/11/2004
Very basic pot roast recipe. Having read the other reviews that said "bland," first I rubbed the meat with salt, pepper, and thyme. I as well added garlic, sugar, worcestershire sauce along with veggies and seasonings. Finally I thickened the gravy with corn starch. Using the practiced quality of meat, this recipe got good reviews from my family.
09/20/2003
I have usually ruined roast beef, thus have non tried very many roast recipes. This was very easy and was really tender and tasty. My hubby really liked this. I had some left over onion soup mix already mixed with water in the refrigerator so used that and used only two boullion cubes. I strained the stale onions from the soup mix and used an onion as per the recipe. I as well sprinkled a little majoram over the meat. I used more than water as others accept suggested (little more than than a cup including liquid from soup mix) and had lots of succulent gravy. Next time I volition try using a piddling corn starch to thicken it.
11/xv/2009
Great recipe! I used a rib roast and here'southward how I tweaked it: I added a garlic and rosemary rub, a bay foliage, and used beef broth instead of cubes. From my experience with my crockpot, I e'er use yellowish flesh potatoes and cut any veggies into Large chunks (double or triple the size that I use when boiling or roasting). This keeps the veggies from getting too mushy later 6 hours of cooking. I cooked on low for half dozen hours and everything turned out good, just adjacent time I'll check it after five.5 hours considering the roast seemed a tiny fleck over done.
xi/15/2011
Very practiced. I placed veggies on height of roast. Added more water than called for, and used flour to plow into a gravy. I also placed a bay leaf into crock pot while cooking. Thought perhaps it needed a little more season, merely overrall very tasty. I volition make this again.
03/16/2011
Very easy but standard fair. Adding garlic and ruby wine as suggested by other reviewers is definitely recommended. I too added a few splashes of low sodium soy sauce which enhances the colour too as flavour.
01/29/2011
Super piece of cake, but I found that all of the ingredients wouldn't actually fit in my crock pot. And so, I had to take several big spoonfuls of the potatoes and carrots out to fit in all the meat. I'm not a huge cherry meat fan, and then I don't think I would make this all the time. But for a pot roast, information technology was pretty good.
02/12/2001
If you have the fourth dimension this receipe is ever better if you brown the meat get-go and add together some more seasoning, like a bay foliage.
02/02/2003
This was an amazing recipe! I take butchered many-a-roast, only this one was and so simple, and turned out to be the best I take had yet! I as well stabed random holes in the meat earlier cooking, and filled them with garlic. Thanks for sharing this recipe! My whole family thank you you! :o)
08/14/2004
I added a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix to the 1/2 cup of h2o and turned the meat ofttimes. Information technology added great flavor. I omitted the celery(hate information technology with roast) and besides the boullion (who needs it with the Lipton Onion Soup Mix?). Used red bliss potatoes. Easy. Good. Pretty standard manner to make roast in a crock pot.
09/x/2007
This was definitely easy. I made the following modifications according to what I had on hand: ii lbs roast, iii carrots, one celery stick & 4 potatoes. I let mine cook for 4 hours, but it was quite dry. This was my first roast, and then I was leery of calling it done early on; only I think it was done after 3 i/ii hours.
01/27/2008
Very Piece of cake to make!! It had good flavors just I also added garlic, pepper, salt, and a little red wine. I used 2 cups of water and this helped keep the meat tender. This is my beginning time making it in the crock pot, so I changed the cooking times a little. I just watched information technology and took it out at about 6 hours on low and cooking the last hr on high. Information technology was very easy and yummy!
01/04/2009
This recipe is very piece of cake and very good. I did not utilise celery - I didn't have any. I added table salt and pepper, and used liquid bouillon concentrate instead of cubes, because that's what I had on manus. I cooked in on high and it was done in less than four hours. This is the best way to melt a roast.
09/10/2008
Wonderful! Simple! My house smells amazing! But added a bit more water and used about 3.five lbs eye of circular beef and followed verbal recipe....YUM....will be making again and again.
x/26/2010
This was my 1st pot roast and it was fabled! My husband was completely impressed! I followed the recipe almost exactly, only I seared the beef (adding salt & pepper) before I put information technology in the crock pot and I added mushrooms and smashed whole clove garlic. So easy!
10/18/2010
Very good an easy. We used 2 cans of beefiness broth instead of the bouillon and water and added many garlic cloves. Besides, add more veggies if you like them.
02/01/2003
Very easy!! very good!!!
03/19/2010
gonna make this this evening..I'll tell ya how information technology goes
11/09/2008
First-class. I followed directions exactly until I added 15 crushed ginger snaps an hour earlier it was done. Information technology thickens the gravy and tastes crawly.
01/31/2005
loved the recipe but instead of water and beef boullion i simply added a can of beef goop.
01/10/2002
Although this recipe was quick, easy, and kid friendly, it turned out awful! The main reason was that it was banal. Everything only tasted like beef broth, with not much other flavor. Yuck!
12/31/2001
I like this recipe considering it's simple, yet produces a delicious complete repast. That'due south the all-time I await from a recipe!
06/29/2010
My boyfriend gave this a five, only I'm giving it a iv since I felt like something was defective, regarding flavour. Too, the pot roast was a trivial dry out, so I experience similar there should have been more water in the recipe.
02/12/2002
This was delicious and like shooting fish in a barrel. The roast just melts in your mouth.
12/08/2009
Good Recipe, If y'all add together iii/4 of a tin can of coca cola it is a great Recipe. Except for the yellowish corn. no where does it say open can and put in shallow pan on depression estrus. I don't get the corn matter. The coca cola trick is from grandma Bessie. She made excellent pot Roast.
11/29/2008
The reason I gave this 4 stars is b/c I had to add together A LOT of seasoning to get information technology to taste how I wanted. I did fresh rosemary, salt, season salt, pepper and almost i/4 cup lea and perrins. Next time I would too sear information technology starting time to lock the juices in. It got a niggling dry at vii hours.
08/13/2008
This was so easy and so good. I fabricated this on my lunch break and it was ready to eat when I got domicile! I used one cup beef broth instead of the h2o. I also rubbed some salt, pepper, garlic salt, and onion powder into the roast before cooking equally well equally sprinkling over the potatos.
07/26/2002
It actually is easy.
08/05/2007
Really good! I added 5-6 cloves of garlic and I seared the roast and deglazed the pan before putting in the slow cooker. It came out really tender and the vegetable's tasted wonderful.
12/17/2006
This was wonderful! I did exit the clery whole, so I could have the season so remove it when serving(my family doesn't like cerely) or so they think. I practise that quite oftentimes. They don't mind the gustatory modality, but the texture. Anyhow, thanks for this recipe.
02/13/2010
Very easy to make, I used garlic pulverization, italian seasoning table salt and pepper and information technology was perfect..also you should use 1 cup of water. Fifty-fifty with a iii pound chuck roast it needed more water than a half loving cup. Very easy..very proficient. will make again.,
07/thirteen/2003
Definately easy! I made this when we had some friends over for dinner and it turned out corking. I did put too many potatoes in it and I added extra carrots merely information technology was delicious. I should take added more than water for the extra veggies so I could take made gravy but it was still fantastic!
12/27/2001
Delicious and very easy pot roast. Tastes wonderful!
09/23/2002
I dearest a simple receipe, and this one is simple!
01/24/2011
Splendid and easy. Used additional spices/flavorings and liquid as suggested by other reviewers.
03/20/2014
This is a terrific, easy-to-do recipe for pot roast. I love the simplicity, particularly for my college-historic period daughters and parents who are rushing out the door to work in the morning. While I appreciate the many "reviews" of the recipe, in fact most folks are completely rewriting the recipe. One of the "nigh helpful critical reviews" adds nine additional ingredients! That's non a review, that's some other recipe birthday! Submit it as such, please!
09/30/2008
Turned out cracking, I seared the roast and added a little minced garlic and more water. Adjacent time I volition try the beef broth instead.
x/xi/2010
My first time making a pot roast & it was very good! My 7 year old even liked the meat & he'south not a big meat eater. I did brand a couple adjustments based on reviews....I did a rub of Montreal steak seasoning, seared information technology three-5 minutes on each side, & added some minced garlic, salt & pepper to the veggies. I used a 3 pound arm roast & it only took v hours on low. Seems like my crock pot never takes as long as recipes say though....good thing I was watching information technology! Highly recommend this recipe!
09/15/2015
I changed the water to root beer. Gave it a nice sweet season. Super tender!!
12/22/2009
Overall, it's a very good tasting roast...especially being so easy to prepare! I gave it iv out of 5 stars considering it actually was lacking spices (in addition to the burgoo, I too used garlic powder, bay leaves, whole peppercorns, vegeta, and rubbed on a piddling bit of Mrs. Dash garlic & herbs sprinkle) and also because I recollect it needs about four times every bit much h2o as stated..Mine came out a little dry, but I blame myself for not watching it oftentimes enough (my offset time using my mother's slow-cooker. I guess hers cooks faster).
06/09/2008
This is the best pot roast I've ever eaten! Here are the changes I made: I omitted the potatoes and used two roasts increasing the boullion cubes to 5, increased the water to 1 cup, sprinkled a scrap of seasoning salt over both roasts and spread 1 1/2 tblsp of A1 steak sauce over the top roast. This is definitely a recipe I volition make fourth dimension and time again!
01/10/2016
Certainly an piece of cake recipe. After reading reviews nearly cooking time and seasoning I take a few comments. Attempt browning the roast start in a hot pan with a little oil. And then season with common salt and pepper. You can likewise add together garlic and other herbs you like. I prefer to use tyme. If you similar more salt and seasoning, I add an onion soup mix poured over the roast. The bigger your roast, the more than seasoning it needs. Finally on the cooking time, the longer it cooks the more than it volition pull apart and shred. If you prefer to piece it, you lot tin remove it when even so house to bear upon. Nosotros ever let ours melt slowly and for a long time. Pull it apart and lightly chop. And so back in crock pot with all the veggies and juices. Cheers and skilful luck!
